Just an observation:

According to the ASIC short report the net short positions reduced

from: 901,245 shares or 0.17% of issued capital

to: 389,141 shares or 0.07% of issued capital on April 16, 2012.

The net short position has not been added to since March 16 when PLA was removed from the ASX300 Index and has steadily reduced since then.

A stab in the dark, but I'm guessing that since that time the ability to go short on PLA is no longer available to traders? Is anyone able to confirm this?

I've checked IG Markets and they are not offering the option to short the stock via CFD's.
