How does the 1414 Degrees GAS-TESS work? Biogas is formed in digesters through the breakdown of organic waste in the wastewater treatment process. Our GAS-TESS takes in the raw biogas and uses it to heat and maintain silicon at its melting point. This uses the latent heat properties of silicon, which can store approximately 500kWht per tonne, resulting in a compact solution. As with our other units we are then able to redistribute as heat and electricity on demand!
