Hi Psi81, I was interested in your comments on this thread re the economics of Kylylahti, and would like to learn more about your analysis of the project. Have you actually modelled it yourself, based on VCN's base case or have you just looked at the quoted economic model by the company or from some other commentator/analyst.

I am yet to do my own analysis of the project, and on the face of it without having probed what might be the key risks that could affect the economics, I agree with Derosie's comments. But you may have more insight that isn't easily found by a rudimentary look at the numbers.

I have watched VCN withering on the vine, so to speak, over the past months while the rest of the resources stocks have prospered, and wonder if its just because of the doubts about the merger or if there is something more in the details that doesn't meet the eye at first glance.

IF I complete my analysis, which I will do over the next week or so, I will make a decision to either not push through with a slightly bigger investment (I currently hold some stock but not much) or I might take the plunge and in that case you will see my commentaries more on the VCN thread.

But I am a bit concerned that there is something not quite right, particularly since even URL is trading at a premium to the VCN price subject to merger happening.

Anyone with a view I welcome, and would be very interested in either Psi81's economic commentary or other party on that subject. Also, is the mineralisation very "skinny" or other?
