Maybe because the 'average' tetail investor has a portfolio that doesn't extend beyond the top 20 ASX stocks, and maybe some LICs. Being relatively unsophisticsted, they pronably don't venture into overseas investments, and sny such anomalies are unknown to them (I wasn't even aware of it myself).
