A would-be acquirer of EDE could currently, indirectly via TAS, purchase EDE stock at a ~50% discount. Maybe that's one of the reasons the Solomons keep trying to talk up the TAS price.
Most rational thing surely for TAS and the Solomons would be to make an in specie distribution of EDE shares to TAS holders ? That way we all immediately get the full value of the EDE shares, ie the discount ceases to be an issue. I would have thought the Solomons could then sell the other TAS assets, re-capitalise, whatever. The value of EDE surely makes the non-EDE assets in TAS relatively unimportant to the Solomons ?
But I suppose from their point of view there is no rush to make such a distribution of EDE shares. In fact they'd have far less control of EDE so have a very good reason not to. If/when EDE is acquired, that would be the time to make the distribution.
Good day to all
