A takeover bid is highly unlikely IMO. The banks (NAB, CBA, ANZ) have well and truely tested the markets appetite for that before they had to plan to demerge their wealth divisions. The fact that no one wanted to take on the risk when they did the due diligence would be the same outcome in any IFL sale.
Why holders of IFL thought that this business was any different is beyond me.
