As pointed out above TAS has a tax disadvantage with respect to EDE - if TAS was to sell its EDE shares either in a Take Over or a block trade or whatever, it would have to pay tax at the corporate tax rate and any distribution would be classified as a dividend. So TAS should be 90-100% of the share price of EDE (depending on individuals tax circumstances).
So why is TAS at 65% of EDE? The gap has in fact increased of late. Last time EDE traded in the 26.5-28 range (22 April) TAS traded in the 18.5-20 range, but not is traded 1.5-2 cents lower.
Dont expext that we will ever know. In the end the market does what it does.
