Assay result accuracy increases as the gold particle size reduces, i.e. it's difficult to measure coarse gold grades accurately. Great paper....
Comparison of repeat traditional fire assay data for the coarse-gold Bendigo deposit and the fine-gold Fosterville deposit. There's a greater spread for coarse gold repeat assays, so less accuracy.
