I followed up my email to SC with a phone call yesterday afternoon which went to message bank. As usual SC returned the call a couple of hours later.
The conversation centred around malaria testing and lack of news and SC quite correctly pointed out that he would only put out an announcement when there was an event that warranted an annoucement. However despite that he could confirm that yes he had spoken with PP recently and that the recruitment of the final 15 patients in Burkina Faso was progressing. He also could tell me that the first 5 patients in Ghana had been dosed and were under going an audit prior to continuing with the Ghana programme. The point of the audit is a "self test/check"to ensure that the process of the treatment and doses were as per the test programme previously submitted. Once this has been ticked off the process continues. In response to my question as to when the testing programme would be concluded he stated that he anticipated that it would be concluded "this malaria season". When asked if that would be Sept SC replied that that was about right
When asked about an annoucement being issued he expected to be in a position to release one shortly after the end of the financial year, I took this to be about mid July and that he wanted some more information before releasing an annoucement.
The whole tone of the conversation was positive and I certainly got the feeling that the process was moving in the right direction. Didn't about Berlin, cash in bank etc
although we did touch on West Coast which is reducing costs and improving sales.
The conversation has reduced my worry levels and anticipate that to be reflected in tomorrows golf.
Have a good weekend.
