I think the most salient point is that as previous posters have stated, the business model is broken. You can pull the numbers apart as much as you like....... just throwing away good money after bad..... dunno if you can even say "good money" given its a debt lifeline thrown by John. If 99 yr old Johnno loses his appetite for keeping the business on life support that will be that..... time will tell. The historical drivers of the business being Krulis and Hardy couldn't turn the company around...... speaks volumes in my view. As the old saying goes, if you keep doing the same thing, you'll keep getting the same results. A totally new model is needed if the company will survive. Tom and John Hardy couldn't do it. And revenues have been falling (amongst other metrics outlined in previous posts) in the face of growing competition. Amazon hasn't even hit..... and there will be damage. Given recent events, you'd have to have pretty limited nous to buy a franchise.
Analysis of numbers aside, it really doesn't read a great story............
