APA has been sold off too much on these competition concerns. APA can do an AGL if the regulation is inappropriate. AGL has beaten ACCC before so the anti-trust law precedents will support APA if APA is prepared to fight it, appeal it and pursue the case/ prosecute the case according to the law which in Australia is quite weak see below:
