No, not suggesting that at all, because materials testing is standardised for all industry usage.
ASTM standards cover a number of materials testing and characterisation procedures to qualify a material to the standard, and these standards are used across most industries as a baseline for material integrity - so yes I agree that material testing is standard practice, but thats my concern with this companys tech. I'm sure CSIRO would have covered all this testing and characterisation in their 11m spend on researching the tech/process in the years prior to forming TTT, hence why I find the announcement a little odd.
Whats interesting is that the process has been used as a metallic coating for corrosion resistance since the 1940's, now being touted for 3d printed components, of which we've seen none presented by the company.
