Please do not see the post as negative. Your views would be appreciated. Here is my perception: Positives: 1 ) Big Resource - You do not need to drill a lot to firm up such a big resource in that area. 2) Botswana is probably the best African country to invest in 3) Adjacent Powerstation
A couple of concerns :
1) Rail for exports - non existing, or possible development at least a decade away 2) My guess is that Domestic powerstation coal will not sell for more than $25 to $30 per ton due to oversupply and quality in the area. 3)Big investment to get volumes to cover overheads, but limited by the market, as the current supplier will max output at marginal cost, and has the resource to do so. 3) Is there enough water available for a big mine ?
Looking to get in, but compared to some of the other "Waterberg" coal companies, I am not 100% convinced YET..
