Infrastructure is becoming more and more important for the industry as greater percentage of future commodity production will need to come from third world and the non mining provinces. Some parallels between infrastructure required during the 1950/60s to develop the iron ore in WA and copper in Chile to what is will be required for coal production in mongolia, iron ore out of west africa ect in the medium term.
WGO although not spitting distance to ports at all, are well placed with options down the track with SDL, Chinese or other entrants in the same area, however largest risk is geological in the short term to prove up something that needs rail, much like AKM were 12 months ago, and if they do WGO will find a few willing friends to help them out (as have AKM).
