The way I successfully chi-x traded was to ring Etrade and have them place the order for me, while I was still on the phone. Pretty easy really. That is if they agree to do it for you.
At the moment it does not matter how fast your computer is (within reason) there is just no platform provided by Etrade or Comsec to enable us to do it. It should be no harder to do the trade than it is now.
Its all about if they let us or not. They have the power to open it up to all of us but they are just unwilling.
With great power should come great responsibility, they are just not exercising the responsibility side of things because, InMyOpinion, not enough people are complaining about it and until they do they seem to be happy to keep the status quo as it is.
Power to us I say but that's a choice that we all have to make, together.
Just my take on it.
