Without having any additional information from the non-communicative current board or the WA challengers, it does appear that Peter Delaney's challenge is a desperate attempt to correct management errors.  I have seen previous comments belating the top-heavy board model at optiscan with someone suggesting there were more board members than staff at Optiscan.

For someone who has developed and spent a large part of his life devoted to the Optiscan dream, Peter Delaney's resignation looks like a sink or swim attempt to reclaim his "baby" from squabbling babysitters who seem to me more focused on the nibbles in the fridge than the baby!  

Maybe I am wrong, but Peter Delaney and his team will have my vote
