what a load of rubbish!!! how many conflicts are the usa engaged in, compared to the Chinese and russians??? the americans involve themselves in conflicts to protect the petrodollar... as far as the Chinese developing bases on reclaimed islands in the south china sea - maybe that is to protect trade routes, as china relies on trade … ie china is making sure that there will be "freedom of navigation" for their trade.
without the petrodollar, the usa would not be the military power that it is today- and to protect the petrodollar the americans have caused untold misery in the world .
America spend more on the military than the rest of the world combined (or something like that) - and then toss in the military expenditure of countries like france and England - then the Chinese and the Russians are playing with small change .
