With respect to their ability to afford .60c per share is not an issue... it's petty cash for them.. it's an international O/S based organisation.. the real question is 'are they still interested'. I'd ask the question, 'why does it take over 8 months to negotiate a sale', you either want a business for a strategic or tactical reason or you walk away.
Knowing the Hyro business intimately, I can't really see where the strategic fit is for the coy interested... having said that, you don't always know everything about what you're buying until you get into the due diligence phase.. I don't think they have !! is this something that would have been put out as an announcement to the ASX or is it possible that they've looked under the hood and don't like what they are seeing..
Can they afford it... YES, is Hyro worth 60cents, well Sure. If you take iDaptive into account and the value that can bring to an organisation then the stock is worth at least three multiples of 60 cents.
They just need to convince the buyers and as far as I'm concerned they are taking way to long to close the deal.
