what's next

Not far (1250 miles as the crow flies) from Groote Eylandt is Nautilus's Solara 1 under sea mining project. Nautilus's progress is setting a standard. If successful it will demonstrate undersea mining is economic and safe. There is support for the project by the Papuan New Guinea government and buy in by some large mining companies.

I believe when Nautilus demonstrates that undersea mining is economic and environmentally safe, we will see NTM's project move ahead. The naysayers of all stripes will yield to reality. The contrast between bias against undersea mining for wahtever reason and economic reward for co-operation will be too glaring.
