Lots of questions and not a lot of answers.

    orewealth,

Interested in the AFR article as did not see it - particularly the "rumours" about KS going private. Did the article elaborate or was it a throw away line?? Would be interested in the context in which it was framed. Can anyone access a copy of the article?

I agree with your comments re magnetite. I have a gut feeling that as fmg are throwing a lot of effort into expanding their dso (and consequently taking on IV), they have done a deal with ioh to pursue their (fmg’s) magnetite interests. It will be interesting to see what the ‘new projects’ are that Alwyn spoke about in today’s announcement –

“IOH’s development focus will now shift to the West Pilbara….and where our two magnetite deposits are being further explored. We also have a number of interesting new business opportunities on the horizon,” Mr Vorster said.”

Maybe we will be spending our cash proving up magnetite deposits for future development. Problem there is that you need a lot more cash to go into production.

I’ve been thinking this might be the way ioh goes for some time, since making a connection of maitland river with fmg last year.

    Hence my thread question……..

    Interesting times indeed.

    Cheers,
    Mac

    Please dyor
