Looks like this matching offer was to force the board's hand with the offer only open until 5pm today. The board has to decide whether $10.00 in the hand from Weir is better than FDL's possible $10.00 offer. Since this new matching offer by Weir, the AFR is reporting that FDL in response has increased its offer for LDW to $11.00 a share.
