Did you somehow lose a child to Myrtle Rust? Your favourite tree?
The rust grows best in temps between 14 and 25 degrees. Wheatbelt land is not conducive to Myrtle Rust, plus:
* It's not in WA * winds blow from west to east making it more unlikely for it to establish itself * CCF's plantations are staggered around the wheatbelt making it harder to infect * It can only develop in actively growing shoots with enough affected spores in conducive climatic conditions
Plus a hundred other points such as the development of resistant strains etc. Like I said a non-issue unless perhaps we are switching from global warming to global cooling...
