It's such a shame when great potential ends in failure. In the case of Public Companies, it is the Shareholders who rely upon supposed experts to deliver upon great promises, to maximise market opportunities and ultimately to increase the hard-earned they have been convinced to invest in the potential. If that doesn't occur, there are tears and it is only after the event, that incompetance is exposed, too late I hear you cry!! And most great promises and potentiality rots and caves in from the head down!

It is now clear DataDot has a limited life cycle - the end is nigh unless something very dramatic happens very quickly. So, what can the Chairman, the Board, the new management committee, the Senior Executives - all those who have failed time after time for the past 3 years or more - do to save this Company?

Interesting to note is that DDT have manufacturing facilities in Taiwan, of which they hold a 50% interest in DDT Taiwan. A former Executive Director of DDT (Aust) is a major shareholder of DDT Taiwan. And another major shareholder (and CEO) of DDT Taiwan is a major shareholder in DDT (Aust). I'm betting that there will be great pressure to close down manufacturing operations in Aust in favour of the much more cost-effective DDT Taiwan facility, maybe even move head office for all Operations to Taiwan. Shut down manufacturing in Aust, get rid of the annual $2M overhead that the tall poppies here command, get rid of the high lease and oversize facilities at French's Forest and set up Aust as a sales/distribution centre in a much smaller, cheaper office. Could just about survive on existing revenue streams with those changes. Probably even makes good short term business sense as we'd watch another potentially great Australian business, destoyed by its own Board and management, go down the gurglar - and sucking the long-suffering shareholders with it down past the u-bend. Winners - major shareholders and DDT Taiwan. Losers - smaller shareholders and Australian business - again!

Well sadly, I think the remaining Shareholders are doomed. The de
