Pre's failure to raise the required money for the entitlement offer shows that the shareholders need to be made aware of where pre is going. I know that Rodney has a substantial number of shares and a belief in the company. However how much more drilling and determination of grades needs to be done before some gold is extracted, sold and producing an income to support further development. I have learnt from investing in pre and SBL (Signature metals) that just because a company has a solid JORC or high gold grades, you can't assume that they have the expertise or funds to mine the gold. With the POG at such a high price gold did seem to be a logical place to invest. I agree with the many PRE posters who are all calling for the company to provide a plan for the company or start mining to take advantage of the current POG. There are probably several ways they could do this. 1. Correct me if i'm wrong, but I thought I remembered reading that NAV operate in the same area and have the plant necessary to extract the gold. Perhaps hire this facility to process some of our better grades and get the cash flowing. Or agree on a percentage of the gold produced fom pre's processing to use the facility. 2. With the Manus Island project under development and Pre holding a 15 % free carry with Newcrest mining, Newcrest could be a joint venture partner or take over company that could develop the resources that Pre have and return some value to the shareholders. I understand that Newcrest would have to find some value in this transaction for their shareholders, but possible gaining the 15% of pre's holding in Manus plus their established high grades in their goldfields may be attractive to newcrest investors. 3.find a mining company that will mine the gold for a percentage of the takings.
I know that some investors will not agree with some of the above ideas because of their higher entry prices paid and the best price that we could achieve. However it's got to be better than the current plan which is hard to find. Good luck to Scorp and the party faithful who believe that pre can turn this around.
