Seems to me that ALD is down due to PoG drop and also the political problems in PNG. IMO the issue of the political problems in PNG is that in a vacuum of power in Port Moresby the locals could take over with possible resulting chaos. Don't think it will turn out this way but certainly happy that ALD also have gold ridge which should be getting some runs on the board.
Agree very much with other posters that it would be nice to get a real miner on board in a leading position rather than money men and politicians. MC does have some credentials in this area (I know he is primarily qualified in earth moving but there are strong similarities to open pit mining) and many good decisions were made by him in constructing Simberi (e.g the rope way, getting there own boat etc). MC is tough and practical when it comes to managing contracts.
