Bloomberg reported that back in June, it was probably responsible for the drop in share price and is factored in. Lockheed the other tender winner for the LCS, their ship had cracks in it.
Since these reports Austal has earned US Navy contracts. I think it is more of a beat up than not. The LCS program is overbudget and been riddled with problems.
Go with your last thought, Austal is cheap.
