I agree that a company should not give a rats about traders.
I was meaning that traders can still buy with the view of getting a franked dividend. They should not feel that they have to exit on the day the stock goes ex dividend.
Indeed, there could be a number of holders looking to exit on day one of it trading ex dividend, as there seems to be a number of super funds holding the stock.
