Interesting developments in the nickel laterite processing arena. Aparently a company has developed a cheap process based on nitic acid. They wont lease the technology - you have to invest in the company or JV your deposit. They are doing this as they want to become a major Nickel supplier.
All very good except I imagine the Chinese would steal the tech and use it to create oversupply. Price crash would be in the best interests of Chinese companies rather than investments or JVs where the tech owning company still controls pricing and supply. Keen to see if AUK's deposit is as they mentioned, able to be processed without HPAL.
