Warnie, AFR Street Talk says that Mac Bank is preparing a counter offer for another party. Loads of positive articles in the AFR on this today.

We're in a good position. The structure of the deal means that it coukld get over the line regardless, and other offers may be forthcoming. The question is, when to buy more, or if to do so. The price is dropping back a bit on massive volume, as people slow down. All good news, imo.
