your right about virgin and jetstar profiting from Tiger's demise
the wife and daughter were flying tiger brisbane to melbourne shortly and the same route now costs many times more than it used to....this is despite virgin offering a "limited" (maybe 10) seats at just over $130 one way.
I think some of the prices were not sustainable in the long term... i swore i would never fly tiger again ages ago!
