re: Ann: Copper and Gold Intersected in First...
I wouldnt discount these results. They are maiden results and proove broad porphry mineralisation. By definition porphry deposits are low grade but they are very large. Theres Au Cu and Moly which changes the economics of the copper grade alone. If you look at the Cu equivalent value it assumes a Cu price of $2 a pound. Some very large deposits in this part of the world operate at a profit at copper grades of around 0.5%
Drilling has not tested the depth or lateral extent of mineralisation. This stock should only be more appealing after these results have been released because they proove they are in the right area. With how many shares on issue what is the market cap? Plus they have around $5 Milllion in cash. I hope no one is silly enough to sell at current asking prices. Many large porphry deposits are found initially with marginal grades. What is the grade 200m deeper or 200m along strike?
The hydrothermal alteration seen even in aerial photos of the leases is visible in a number of other locations. IP may paint a better picture with how disseminated the mineralisation is. Aerial photo also suggests the leases sit very close to a broad structual boundary?
Very low market cap of which most is cash, hardly any shares and 68% are significant holders, nearly 20% held by Independance group alone. What are other peoples thoughts on fundamentals here? Look at something like VOR and compare market caps and share numbers plus drilling results. All we need is the right article written about it in a small cap newsletter.
