sorry - one highlight.
Gold Coast won! Good luck to them, however understandably they will be cellar dwellers.
They did however win because a Port player couldn't kick straight from 30 metres after the siren.
It had me enthralled. I was switching between the game and the Bold and the Beautiful so may have missed any other highlights.
Footballers of old would be turning in their graves with that display. Thank goodness the game wasn't played on Anzac Day. It is not the game the diggers used to watch. That had high marking, handball used to advantage and the umpires knew the rules.
It was a unique Aussie game.
Today it is a mess! (imo)
