Coca-Cola Amatil (ASX:CCL) has announced a new and expanded 10 year agreement with Beam Global Spirits and Wine to expand its reach in Australia.
The beverages manufacturer says the agreement is for the manufacture, sale and distribution of the Beam premium spirits portfolio, including the bourbon brand Jim Beam.
The Australian market is Beam’s second largest in the world and the new deal has been tipped to potentially lift Coca-Cola Amatil's revenue by up to $700 million over the next decade.
Beam and Coca-Cola first struck a deal in 2007, and the latest agreement will see Coca-Cola continue to be responsible for manufacturing Beam’s ready to drink products, as well as the sales and distribution of the Beam Global Spirits and Wine portfolio in Australia.
In the 2010 financial year Coca-Cola Amatil boosted its net profit by 11 per cent to $497 million.
