re: Ann: NEC Directors' Recommendation on... My understanding, which I'm reasonably sure is correct in this case, is that since declaring its offer unconditional NHC has the right to purchase on market at or below their bid cost.
I further understand that they have in fact done that and had bids in the market since they went unconditional. In fact, on 22/02/2011 (the day NEC recommended) they purchased 8 million shares on market according to substantial shareholder notice.
In short, nothing sus about it an no manipulation.
