re: Ann: Robust secures strategic Indonesian ... Rogue Trader,
you are absolutely right in saying that they will need a strategic partner to progress this to becoming a mine. In the current climate, there will be no shortage of investor groups trying to get their hands on the precious metals assets to hedge off their other plays. Having an Indonesian investor group is the best outcome but it is the interest and relevant cash amount that it was sold off for...
There is no doubt that ROL have a huge polymetallic deposit on their hands and multi-million ounce deposits...but this giveaway is interesting. It is a shame cause i was thinking of getting back in but will have to reassess once more.
I guess many are just weary due to the Bre-X scandal...and now we have Xstrata's new deposit [Tampakan] being curtailed from progressing in the Philippines. I am just worried that with the gold and silver prices rising, government will start putting capital controls as well as land-bank and confiscate their resources in ground.
However, i think ROL has enough relationships built to progress this to fruition.
