I wanted to chunder at the pathetic statement by MHL: ". . . unable to advise when it will be able to make an announcement to lift the trading halt."
It is in fact an ASX rule that a date must be advised when the request for a trading halt is made. No option. It is a rule.
Though it is a rule, last time ASX did not enforce its requirement that companies nominate a date by which they expect a trading halt or suspension to be lifted.
It looks as if this time ASX has taken MHL by the scruff of the neck and forced on them a date of Monday 21st February. The "Dear Nicholas" has not worked.
Of course MHL will go into suspension, but here's hoping ASX requires MHL to nominate a date by which they expect the suspension to be lifted.
What a crazy board we shareholders have. Pity us, those of you that don't hold.
I'd make my sentiment "sell", but what's the point. We can't sell - yet again!
