    Hey again Dillinja,
I wasn't saying we were Greece just yet, just starting down that road ie: massive personal debt starting to followed by a very quick acceleration of government debt.

Let's not forget the government had almost zero debt only three years ago and are expecting to end up with in excess of $150 billion in 2012.
This is a very worrying trend because if we see GFC2 coming our way (which is almost starting to look likey at some point) it will almost certainly be the tipping point for our housing market.
This would make our country a shorters paradise and if the government keeps spending like this they won't have any bullets left to fire so to speak.

You may have noticed i try to take a longterm view with my observations and find companies who will benifit from future trends/cycles.

Eg: TLS, with $43b being pumped into the telco industry the trend will obviously be positive for most companies in that sector for a long time, TLS was getting shorted to oblivion so had the most upside potential, a quick look through some company reports and the balance sheet confirmed serious value and growth potential in all segments bar fixed line, which won't exist anyway.

So to i see good value longterm in HVN, with it's market position and current p**s poor performance there WILL be changes over the next few years, Gerry might not react quickly but we have to give him a break being as old as he is :).
