richrichie: I am a holder of ITC and VPE (but only a small position in VPE). I believe that VPE will for the time being just try to BLOCK out BPT from taking over ITC. Once VPE's shareprice will be higher (CSG related), they can offer a cheaper take-over proposal with scrip/cash component (cheaper based upon the higher VPE sp after re-rating). I trust that this will be their plan. IF no higher offer from BPT forthcoming soon, I may sell down part of my ITC holding and keep the rest for later when I expect a VPE bid.
