re: Ann: Chairman's Address and 2010 AGM ...
The description of SOO's business plan as a very conservative equipment supplier gradually finding its feet in project development and even BOO (suspect that was a furphy to keep more excitable shareholders such as myself quiet - the company would have trouble financing such undertakings) starting with smaller commercial installations and getting bigger as the project and management teams are assembled and gain experience is great.
The conservative strategy at SOO forms a great counterbalance in a portfolio to the more adventurous activities at CBD. We who hold both are well buffered in these turbulent times.
Incidentally, Queensland now has a 'solar farms' developer for landholders who want to tap into the 30 kW scale market http://www.solarfarmers.com.au/
WA could support such an undertaking on edge-of-grid locations and on a share-farm basis where urban investors could buy several PV tables in a larger managed farm run by a similar operator.
