It's true Bball that some have quit who are worried about what is going on but as with so many really good investments you really need to hold for the long term if you can and reap the rewards. Of course you need confidence that the company will indeed produce the goods and it would be useful and probably good for the share price (and confidence) if Laurence were to advise shareholders what his intended direction is and a rough idea of the timeframe. It really is a brand new situation now with a top manager at the helm. He has a powerful incentive, second only to the family, to make this work and I really believe he will. Yes I believe you are right Oilyrag. Patience is a virtue - and quite likely profitable too. Rebel1, we do know from the independent valuations the company is worth at least $2.00 a share. If the current sharp rise in the gold price in US dollars causes a rush on the physical metal, as it might, there will be a very significant demand for good sized deposits. There are a heck of a lot of US dollars out there and they are losing value by the hour. I would convert mine right now if I had any (into gold that is). There have been unusually high turnovers in Carrick stock in the last few months for a company that is so tightly held. CRK gold is valued at a mere $16 an ounce right now. With gold nearing $US1,400 it has to be worth more than that! That would be the reason LF has taken charge - to realise CRK's true value.
