Hmm, in January 2010 Paradise Oil Company said drilling in the Coronie block in Suriname was to occur in March 2010.

In April 2010 they said drilling would occur in April. It is now October 2010 and POC are saying drilling will occur in October 2010.


POC and its joint-venture partner Tullow Oil are currently exploring the Coronie and Uitkijk onshore areas.
Preparations are being made for the drilling program for
Coronie, with the construction of the infrastructural works.

Starting October, five wells will be drilled, says Wim
Dwarkasing, deputy Director Exploration and Petroleum
Contracts. Uitkijk has yielded finds, which are now being
studied. With the results of these studies we will determine whether or not we will drill test wells. These in turn will determine whether the area is profitable for production.
