I believe it's has more to do with a holding he had in SLA, I believe he held them inside a company called Opes Prime which was underwritten by ANZ, when Opes Prime went belly up the ANZ stepped in and sold all the holdings by those who held their shares in OP, it was sort of like a margin call I believe, I am also led to believe that OP was behind a lot of short selling, so serves them right, it was all driven by greed IMHO.
