Wow!! Someone else on HC is actually looking at these shares.
I grabbed a parcel when they were hit by the Resources Tax announcement, didn't quite get the bottom, but I'm pretty happy with the yield based on the recent dividend.
It's a good question. It's usually goodwill that allows a company to be valued above it's NTA isn't it? Along with the prospects of future growth. Depending on your view on mining over the next decade, but I reckon the NTA will rise significantly once we see some levelling off of the Europe/US debacle, albeit 12 months or more. I'm hoping it's then that we'll see it trading closer to it's NTA.
If they can maintain a strong (relative to ASX miners), fully franked dividend I am quite happy to carry these into the longer term horizon that I bought them for.
