Come on guys! You both know the problem with this. Solly was neither convicted nor even charged. As much as it may have 'looked' like he was up to his neck in it, the police clearly couldn't make a case and didn't.
What Solly IS about is that he is one of the very few private indivuals prepared to put their money where their mouth is re CML.
And I'm sorry but if eight big tough directors are claiming they were frightened to vote properly on the CML board because of one other director - Solly Lew - then me thinks CML needs a hell of a lot more than one new director.
Add to that that in terms of track records the soon to be departing CML chairman really isn't in a position to claim that its all Lew's fault anyway as right at the moment very many of the major companies he chairs are in the sh!te. Coincidence ?
I really don't care one way or the other but I sure reckon he brings far maore in the way of retail experience to the CML board than most all of the others there.
Of course there is the small problem of his religion...I don't imagine that has anything to do with it....
Anyway, I don't hold CML shares and see no reasn to in the immediate future...its not just the board that don't seem to have it happening...
