yes placer will reduce the cash from 35c to 18c... but of course the 17c paid as ff.divs in effect gives an additional 7.3cents worth of credits .... this is what Colonial (13%) and some other instos were holding out for ... although it was reported AOR had at least another 20c worth of franking credits per share, it decided it was more financially responsible(if you read between the lines of their ann.they say this) for the "merged" company ... I mean they could have burnt the lot to AOR shareholders but to their credit they did'nt .... well done to all directors DGD/GLD and go Placer!!
