no doubt a lot happening in the Tanami at the moment and some stories will be making the rounds, some may get stretched a bit.

looking forward to the results of their diamond drilling, based on a conceptual model of course but if you know anything about Newmont's Callie deposit nearby then a nice hit here would get our tails wagging.

Tanami Gold will, for the first time, drill a 1.2 kilometre diamond core hole at Coyote, part of Western Tanami, to test a conceptual mineralisation and geological model below the currently delineated Coyote Resource, which remains open at depth. This hole is planned to commence during the September 2010 Quarter.

The principal target at Coyote Deeps is the Stubbins Formation, considered the most favourable unit within the WTP tenements to host large tonnage high grade deposits and is the lateral equivalent of the host unit at Newmonts +10 million ounce Callie deposit located within a similar geological setting in the Tanami structural corridor.

The Coyote Deeps diamond drill hole will be partly funded through a $200,000 grant from the Western.
