Yes its a great number, but no better than IOH currently with 400MT and a lot more to come within 2-3 months.
I hold both shares so I don't have a bias.
Remember that UMC was done by a scheme of arrangement and clearly UMC shareholders were screwed. It was pitiful to read on the UMC site stories of clearly distressed holders.
Will GIR do a scheme of arrangement? Well that's the fate that befell sister company PMH, but that company didn't have anywhere to go -no cash to develop significant deposits.
I think that GIR has too many options to be bullied by a major, but no doubt others will provide a more comprehensive analysis.
