All valid points Diri... they could paint themselves into s smelly dark corner if the shareholders don't buy into the current offer on mass. Which they would be fools to do IMO. Would seem that it would be less risky for them to pump the offer up to avoid that scenario...

Whole market sentiment is rising so there is also a risk that NGM share price will gap above their offer in the near future on the back of the market wide rally.

If it were me I'd want to close this takeover down as quick a possible to reduce risk of failure by price move or another 3rd party making an offer... or indeed your scenario above Diri. Not leave it dragging for a few months.

Lets see how clever (..or not) PDN aquisitions team is ...
