I agree northboy, the brand "Virgin" brings alot to the table as it is one of the most trusted brands in the world (top 5 i think) Virgin Blue has alot of goodwill on the back of that, I fear that it may lose some of that if they change to "V"
From the point of view of a bigger picture, they also need to decide where they want to play, if they are moving away from a low cost model, they need to have some pretty big plans to tackle the rest of the market or they risk going the way of Ansett, they showed us that there isn't room for 2 premium service airlines in Australia
