i also took note of AGL's statement that "the proposal that is being made to Mosaic at 15 cents per share is final as to price."

firstly, I can point to the AMP situation. cannot remeber the details,but AMP made a bid (AXA maybe??) which they stated price was FINAL.
then low and behold they upped the bid. much publicity, but no repercussions.

secondly, the AGL staement is not a BID, it is just a PROPOSAL, and I am sure it would not be subject to the same strictures and rules of a formal BID.

thirdly, the pre-bid agreement with 12.8% s/h pointedly allows for a situation of a higher offer (by anyone) being made.

i think this price of 15c is just an opening gambit.

i think (and am hoping and expecting) that the MOS directors will demand a higher price in order to agree to provide their recommendation.
